Mazet and Belem, An Adventure in Taste. The Belem is a three-masted cargo ship, built and launched in Nantes in 1896. Originally built to transport cocoa beans from Brazil to France, the Belem is one of the oldest and most prestigious sailing vessels in the world. The House of Mazet pays tribute to the Belem by creating a range of Praslines with Guérande Salted Caramel. These three Mazet and Belem confections of Praslines, Fondue and chocolate bar reflect the best of French artisan traditions, and are available individually or together in a small duffle bag in the colors of Belem and the House of Mazet.
